Working experience

In 1999-2001, Dr. Svetlana I. Sazonova was working as a Physician specialized in functional diagnostics in the municipal prevention and treatment facility Polyclinic #4. She had been a Junior Research Scientist since 2003 and a Research Scientist in the Department of Nuclear Medicine since 2004. Since 2017, she has been working in a position of a Leading Research Scientist at the Department of Nuclear Medicine at Cardiology Research Institute, Tomsk NRMC.

Education and advanced professional training

Dr. Sazonova graduated from the Medical-Biological Faculty of Siberian State Medical University in 1998. After graduation, she completed the internship program with specialization in Functional Diagnostics at the Regional Clinical Hospital (1998-1999). From December 1, 2000 to October 30, 2003, she completed the postgraduate course in the Department of Nuclear Medicine at Cardiology Research Institute, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. After completion of the postgraduate course, she successfully defended her doctoral thesis titled “Scintigraphic diagnostics of inflammatory processes in the heart” for an academic degree of a candidate of medical sciences (2003). In 2015, she defended her doctoral thesis titled “Gamma-scintigraphic visualization of inflammatory lesions to the heart: Methodology and challenges of topical diagnostics” for an academic degree of doctor of sciences.
