Working experience

Dr. Zavadovsky was working as a Research Assistant in Cardiology Research Institute in 2002–2003 and as a Junior Research Scientist in 2003–2007. He was a Senior Research Scientist in the Department of Nuclear Medicine of Cardiology Research Institute in 2007–2013 and a Leading Research Scientist in 2013–2018. Since December, 2018 till present, Dr. Zavadovsky has been a Head of the Department of Nuclear Medicine of Cardiology Research Institute.

Education and advanced professional training

Konstantin v. Zavadovsky graduated from the Siberian State Medical University with Diploma of Doctor of Medicine in 2001. In 2001–2003, he completed the medical residence program with a specialty in Radiology at Cardiology Research Institute. In 2003–2006, Dr. Zavadovsky took a postgraduate course in the Department of Nuclear Medicine. In 2006, he defended doctoral thesis for a degree of candidate of medical sciences titled «Radionuclide methods of study in assessment of pulmonary hemodynamics in children with congenital heart disease» (specialties: 14.00.19 — Diagnostic Radiology, Radiotherapy; 14.00.06 — Cardiology). In 2012, he defended doctoral thesis for a degree of doctor of medical sciences titled «Radionuclide diagnostics of pulmonary circulation pathology» (specialty: 14.01.13 — Diagnostic Radiology, Radiotherapy).

Research interests

2007–2013: R&D in the field of radionuclide methods of diagnosis of pulmonary circulation pathology.
2013–2018: Combined single-photon emission computed tomography and X-ray computed tomography in diagnosis of coronary artery disease; study of the left ventricular perfusion and metabolism in patients with coronary artery disease and dilated cardiomyopathy; assessment of myocardial blood flow and coronary reserve in patients with coronary artery disease; and assessment of sympathetic activity of the heart in cardiac rhythm and conduction disorders.
As a Head of the Department of Nuclear Medicine, Dr. Zavadovsky promotes and develops research in the area of cardiovascular diagnostics. RSCI h-index = 12, Web of Science h-index = 1, Scopus h-index = 4.

Teaching

In 2016–2017, Dr. Zavadovsky was a Senior Lecturer in Education Office of Cardiology Research Institute, Tomsk NRMC. He is currently a Professor of the Department of Diagnostic Radiology and Radiotherapy at Siberian State Medical University (part-time) where he is giving lectures to the students of Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Pediatrics, Medical-Biological Faculty, and Faculty of Advanced Training and Staff Retraining (the courses of Roentgenology and Radionuclide Diagnostics).

Dr. Zavadovsky is a member of a task group with specialty 14.01.13 (Diagnostic Radiology, Radiotherapy) at Cardiology Research Institute. He is a member of an Academic Council of Cardiology Research Institute and a member of a Dissertation Council of Cardiology Research Institute. He is a member of the Russian Society of Roentgenologists and Radiologists, Russian Society of Nuclear Medicine, and the European Association of Nuclear Medicine.
