Working experience

Dr. Saushkin had been working as a Radiologist in the Department of Nuclear Medicine of Cardiology Research Institute in 2010-2015.

Education and advanced professional training

Dr. Saushkin graduated from the Medical-Biological Faculty of Siberian State Medical University in 2008. From 2008 to 2010, he studied Radiology as a medical resident at the Cardiology Research Institute. In 2010, he entered the full-time postgraduate course with a specialization in Radiology and Radiotherapy. In 2013, he defended his doctoral thesis titled “Scintigraphic diagnostics of contractile disfunction of the heart in patients with ventricular arrhythmias” for an academic degree of candidate of medical sciences (Diagnostic Radiology, Radiotherapy, and Cardiology). In 2013-2014, Dr. Saushkin completed the internship program with a specialization in Radiology at the Siberian State Medical University.

Research interests

Since 2014, Dr. Saushkin has been a member of a research group studying the relationships between coronary atherosclerosis and abnormal myocardial perfusion. Since 2015, Dr. Saushkin has been a member of a research group focusing on the development of new methods of surgical and hybrid treatment for aortic pathology. Research

Professional duties of Dr. Saushkin include scientific research, implementation of research results into clinical practice, and performance of clinical studies within the area of his expertise using state-of-the-art diagnostic methods.

Grants

Dr. Saushkin is a principal investigator of the project supported by the grant of President of the Russian Federation on the subject titled “Development of non-invasive criteria of cardiac resynchronization therapy in patients with dilated cardiomyopathy”. He is also an investigator for six projects within the Federal Targeted Programs supported by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research and the Russian Science Foundation.

Awards

A winner of the Competition established by the Tomsk Region Legislative Duma for young scientists and young talents in the nomination "Natural Sciences" (2015).
